Nicole Robinson proposed to AAC Clyde Space's Board

AAC Clyde Space AB, the Swedish New Space company, today announces the nomination of Nicole Robinson to its board of directors.

Robinson brings extensive experience of the US and European space market and has a high profile among leading industry professional groups. Based just outside of Washington DC, Robinson is the President at Ursa Space Systems, a U.S.-based satellite intelligence company that provides business and government decision-makers access to on-demand analytic solutions.

Prior to Ursa Space, Robinson held senior positions at SES Satellite, a world leader in global content connectivity solutions in both Washington and Luxembourg and at General Dynamics. She is currently President of the Space and Satellite Professionals International (SSPI), the largest space and satellite professional association.

The nomination committee also propose that the Annual General Meeting re-elects of Rolf Hallencreutz (Chairman), Anita Bernie, Per Aniansson, Per Danielsson and Will Whitehorn. The appointment follows an active six months for AAC Clyde Space, in which it acquired three fast growing specialist space companies and broadened its range of activities, its world class expertise and pipeline of projects.

These are:
·         Hyperion, based in Delph, Netherlands, which specializes in high performance satellite subsystems including star trackers, laser communications and propulsion for satellites
·         SpaceQuest, based in Virginia, USA, which is a highly experienced player in the fast-growing Space Data as a Service sector
·         And more recently, Omnisys, based in Gothenburg, Sweden, which designs and develops high performance weather space sensors

AAC Clyde Space's US subsidiary SpaceQuest has received an order of USD 0.55m (approx. SEK 4.6m) for global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) receivers and antennas to be delivered to a customer in Asia over 3.5 years starting in 2021.

AAC Clyde Space, a leading New space company, has been selected by Astroscale UK Ltd to co-engineer their satellite platform for a UK-based space debris removal programme known as End-of-Life Services by Astroscale (ELSA-M). AAC Clyde Space has been selected by UAE's Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) to deliver a 0.2 MEUR (approx. 2 MSEK) computer system for the Rashid lunar rover. This is the fourth lunar mission in which AAC Clyde Space will take part.
